Dr. Wang is a department director of the China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA). She graduated in Science of Nutrition and Food Hygiene and holds a PhD. She has more than 20 years of research and management experience in the area of microbial hazards and other food safety matters. Dr. Wang contributes as vice- chairperson of the Technology Professional Committee of the National Committee for the Review of Food Safety Standards, vice-chairperson of the Committee of the Drinking Water and Health Branch of the Chinese Nutrition Society, member of the Cross-Straits Medical and Health Exchange Association Nutrition Health and Food Safety Branch, member of the Food Safety and Nutrition Health Science Popularization and Risk Communication Expert Group. She is also the vice chairperson of the Council of the Frozen and Refrigerated Food Branch of the Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology (CIFST), standing director of the Council of the Noodle Products Branch of the Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology (CIFST), expert of the Marine Food Professional Committee of the China Food Industry Association. She is also a member of food safety expert committees and consultancy panels for several local provinces. Dr. Wang is author/co-author of more than ten professional books on food safety and management and is an editor of the Chinese Journal of Food Hygiene. She has guided several graduate students majoring in microbial and food hygiene.
