Michelle Danyluk now past president of IAFP

ICMSF member, Michelle Danyluk, who has been the President of the International Association for Food Protection for the 2022 / 2023 term, officially handed over the gavel to incoming President Tim Jackson at the conclusion of IAFP 2023 held in Toronto, Canada.

Tim Jackson is a senior science advisor for food safety with the US Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition. In this role, he supports programmes in outbreak investigations, root cause analysis, and prevention strategies.

Background information

Each year, the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) hosts an Annual Meeting, providing attendees with information on current and emerging food safety issues, the latest science, innovative solutions to new and recurring problems, and the opportunity to network with thousands of food safety professionals from around the globe. Held in various locations throughout North America, this meeting has grown over the years to become the leading food safety conference worldwide. IAFP 2023 was held in Toronto, Canada.
